Update on the use and ownership of Paintball markers.

Since our statement on 19th January 2024 and subsequent update on 24th January 2024, we have had a lot of UKPSF members bring up certain aspects of the law. As we are not experts in firearms legislation and do not claim to be, we decided to get further advice from a firearms barrister to seek further clarification on the questions raised. We had tried to keep the advice/guidance simple, which may have left some room for interpretation. So, we are updating our advice as follows: Our core statement is still correct but for clarity will now be a little longer. UKPSF Team Spotlight - S.A.D.

Staffordshire & District Paintball Club, a.k.a SaD.

Five friends sat drinking discussing what their new Paintball teams should be called, some of the names were outrageous, some were wild, and some simply plain weird, as more beer was consumed the more outrageous the suggestions, and the more raucous the laughter, when a passing barmaid asked what they were all laughing at, "well you lot are all sad!"

From that simple night out who would have thought that a club would emerge. S.A.D competed across the UK from 1993 to 2004 at the peak the club supported four teams.

SaD UK, SaD Too, SaD Young Guns and SaD Fallen Angels.

The club formed the core of the workforce and marshalling staff at the Midlands Masters which went on to become the UK Masters. The club was also behind the Shoot the Rainbow charity events, the most memorable being the one held at Marchweil Cricket Club Wrexham.

SaD as the club are known, reformed in March 2013 featuring several of the original players from the clubs past.

Now in 2021 the club supports over 80 active players, and has an established framework which supports player progression.

SaD welcomes all players, and has teams competing across multiple disciplines, from Sup-Air to Woodland Competitions, as well as supporting a healthy walk on community.

SaD also has an established Academy programme that has been the breeding ground for many young players.
