Update on the use and ownership of Paintball markers.

Since our statement on 19th January 2024 and subsequent update on 24th January 2024, we have had a lot of UKPSF members bring up certain aspects of the law. As we are not experts in firearms legislation and do not claim to be, we decided to get further advice from a firearms barrister to seek further clarification on the questions raised. We had tried to keep the advice/guidance simple, which may have left some room for interpretation. So, we are updating our advice as follows: Our core statement is still correct but for clarity will now be a little longer. The following is based on Home Office guidance and advice.  ‘Paintball Markers of any size can only be purchased by those over 18 for use in permitted activities such as skirmishing and re-enactment at a venue where suitable third-party liability insurance is in place. UKPSF Team Spotlight - BZ Grizzlies

 


The UKPSF Team Spotlight now turns towards the BZ Grizzlies. The BZ Grizzlies were formed by Craig “Gassy” Pattison and Richard Bown in 2019 to play the Grand Central Classic (10-Man Woodland 5.5 Mech) and have stayed together since [if the weather at the GCC can't damped the BZ Grizzlies spirits nothing will!]

Cheryl Pattison gave us a bit more info about the BZ Grizzlies....

The BZ Grizzlies play anything from Walk on's, Big Games and the ECPL.We have a core team who only play as Grizzlies, but also have players who play for their own teams as well. Most of the team have been playing Paintball since the 1990`s and are mainly based in the North East,but they all travel all over the UK to play.

    A great bunch of players and wonderful people to boot , they are OAPB's northern brothers and have an absolute wealth of experience in their ranks , always happy to help teams and offer advice to individuals when asked ,
